In India today, Xiaomi has announced the Mi VR Play headset together with the Mi Live online streaming in a Mi Pop event.

The Mi VR headset that was first announced in August is the company's first VR headset that's designed to view immersive VR contents in panoramic, 360 YouTube contents, 2D, and 3D graphics. It sports a lightweight Lycra fabric with two-way zipper design that can fit 4.7 inch to 5.7 inch smartphones with ease.

This one is also compatible with all the Google Cardboard apps for you to enjoy the VR headset much better. It'll be exclusively available at Xiaomi's website and select offline partners starting December 21, 2016 at 12:00 pm.


The Xiaomi Mi VR Play is priced at INR 999 which is roughly around PHP 700 out of straight conversion. There's no word about its international availability though.
