Today, HTC announced the Bolt, their first smartphone to run with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Made out of aluminum, the HTC bolt is also a water resistant phone with IP57 certification that protects it from spills, rains, and submersion up 3.2 feet for 30 mins. It sports a 5.5 inch QHD S-LCD3 screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels at 534 ppi w/ Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Internally, it runs with the dated 2.0 GHz 64 Bit Snapdragon 810 octa core processor paired with Adreno 430 GPU. While that chip still works pretty fine, it is known for its heating and isn't as fast compared with modern flagship chips today. Something like the Snapdragon 650 series would have been a better choice.

Anyway the handset also has 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage expandbale up to 2 TB, 3,200 mAh battery capacity w/ Quick Charge 2.0, 16 MP f/2.0 main camera w/ OIS and PDAF, and an 8 MP selfie camera that also handles video chats well. To complete the specs, the phone has 24 bit / 192 KHz HiFi audio support, LTE Cat 9, fingerprint sensor, and NFC.
