After its TENAA appearance last September, Huawei has announced the new Honor 6X midrange smartphone with a capable dual main camera setup at the back in China earlier today.

Just like what the leaks stated before, the Huawei Honor 6X is a sleek looking handset with 5.5 inch FHD screen w/ 2.5D curved glass. It runs with the new 64 Bit Kirin 655 octa core processor clocked at 2.1 GHz, Mali T830 GPU, either 3 GB or 4 GB RAM, 32 / 64 GB expandable storage, and 3,340 mAh battery w/ quick charging support.

Behind, the phone has a dual 12 MP main camera system w/ 6P lens, PDAF, and a second camera w/ 2 MP sensor. In front, there's an 8 MP shooter for selfies and video calls

To complete the specs, the phone loads with a fingerprint scanner behind, 4G w/ VoLTE support, hybrid SIM slot, and loads with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS w/ EMUI 4.1 on top.

In China, the Honor 6X will be available on pre-order today in either gold, grey, blue, and rose gold. The 3 GB RAM / 32 GB ROM model is priced at 999 Yuan (PHP 7.1K) while the 4 GB RAM / 32 GB ROM is at 1,299 Yuan (PHP 9.2K), and the 4 GB RAM / 64 GB ROM edition retails for 1,599 Yuan (PHP 11.4K).

Note: The PHP conversion is an estimate only, it doesn't include taxes and other duties yet, so if ever this phone will arrive in the Philippines, expect a slightly higher SRP.
