Aside from the regular ZenFone 3 Max (ZC520TL) with 5.2 inch screen and MediaTek chip, Asus silently uploaded a bigger and better variant of this phone in their website few days back!

Dubbed as the Asus ZenFone 3 Max ( ZC553KL), it is a meticulously crafted metal clad handset with larger 5.5 inch FHD IPS screen w/ 2.5D curve glass, Bluelight filter eye protection, and scratch resistance.

Under the hood, it reminds me of a slightly lesser ZenFone 3 Laser (ZC551KL) with the use of the same 64 bit Snapdragon 430 chip paired with Adreno 505 GPU that can handle heavy 3D games quite well. It has either 2 or 3 GB RAM, 32 GB expandable storage, and large 4,100 mAh battery capacity w/ reverse charging (powerbank mode) technology.

The major improvement coming from the regular ZenFone 3 Max is it is now using a better main camera w/ bigger and brighter sensor. It is now using a 16 MP main camera w/ f/2.0 aperture, 5P element lens, PDAF, 2nd gen laser autofocus, Tri-tech AF, dual real tone LED flash, manual controls, and 32 seconds long exposure capability. In front, there's an 8 MP f/2.2 w/ wide angle lens for selfies and video calls.

On top of that the handset now has an IR Blaster for remote, WiFi, LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 w/ EDR, gyroscope sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The phone loads with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS w/ ZenUI 3.0 out of the box.

This model of the Asus ZenFone 3 Max looks great on paper with all those improvements in specs. However, there's still no word about its price and availability. Let's just hope that Asus will bring this goodie in PH soon.
